I am a ceramic artist living on Whidbey Island, WA. I am a member of the Penn Cove Gallery (PCG) in Coupeville and the Whidbey Clay Center & Gallery (WCC) in Freeland. I retired and moved to Whidbey in 2021 and started making ceramic art at WCC a few months later. I form and glaze most of my pieces in my little pottery shed at home and try to get to the WCC at least once a week to share ideas, use the slab roller, leave new work to be fired and see the wonderful creations the other studio members are making.

My ceramic art is inspired by the many years I lived overseas in New Zealand and my weekly explorations of Whidbey Island. The shorelines of Whidbey Island and the sea creatures that inhabit the cold seas and coasts of the Pacific Northwest are prominently featured in my work. Each piece is unique and has been crafted by hand from slabs of clay. You can find my work at the aforementioned galleries and other local art markets listed on this web site.
